Is learning PHP a good investment in yourself?

People often wonder whether they should learn PHP or ASP given it is hard to find the time to learn both.

I believe that it is a good time investment to learn PHP, because as far as I can foresee the popularity of PHP is not going to abate.

With it being free and therefore so many people using it, and so many large websites such as social networks running off PHP, I can only see the popularity going up and the requirement for PHP developers going up too.

Therefore in summary I think it is a better idea to learn PHP than ASP if you are weighing up the two options

I am just starting to learn PHP and I have found so far that it is really useful because I have saved so much time on my website already just by doing basic things like an include file for the menus so that I don't have to have them hard coded as it were on every page of my site!
